My Views On AAU Basketball

AAU basketball at the younger levels isn't all what the parents make it out to be. The competitive levels are somewhat visable. At the age 11 and under level, if you can hustle, you can play AAU ball at a competitve level. But this is where I've found where it really pays to get your kids; and thats at sneaker sponsored all-star camps. Overall, the play is much more competitve. Sure, there are still some weak , slow and average players. But overall, you have a good level of all star players making these camps to see how their skills match up against kids from all over the country. The Adidas Jr Phenpm Camp is a prime example which is in San Diego, CA.
