Recruiting High School Players

I've been told within the last year that when players hit high school, basketball becomes a business. Being the ol'skooler that I am, it didn't register with me initially. Coaches do recruit for their high school team. Some of  the comments from coaches are somewhat indirect. For example, one coach told me that there was plenty of hosing in his school district if we wanted to move in the area. Some coaches " you to open gym. Some invite you to play with their teams during Fall league play. Coaches do recruit in high school. As a daddyballer, I have to make sure my kids remember this game is fun and try and keep the business side out of the mix as much as I possibly can. As I travel more into the future with this basketball thing, I sure can see the differences youth basketball has taken.
